Capacity building for disaster risk reduction
Our Cause
The project is designed to train organizations, communities and schools to increase their resilience to emergencies and disasters. The expected result is the strengthening of prevention and response capacities to shocks and stresses caused by disasters.
The objective of the project is to raise awareness about the involvement of communities in the preparation of emergency plans for natural disasters and to promote the development of the necessary skills to deal with these situations, reaching 24,000 people.
It is implemented in Honduras, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic, funded by BHA- USAID and in Honduras we collaborate with key partners such as COPECO, CODEM and SEDUC-DECOAS..
Nuestra Objetivo
Mejorar la calidad educativa de 350,757 niños, niñas y adolescentes en sus prácticas en el cuidado del planeta reforzando las habilidades y competencias de los profesores. Gracias al apoyo financiero de Gildan Honduras operamos en el departamento de Cortés.
