Our Cause

We have signed an agreement with the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) to implement a project aimed at reducing child labor and improving respect for labor rights in Honduras. This approach is materialized through a system of community participation involving parents, educators, government authorities and employers.

The Bright Futures Project also proposes to establish an effective institutional response to child labor, promote enforcement of laws in compliance with labor standards, and generate data-driven knowledge and learning.

The project operates in the departments of Cortés, La Paz and Intibucá. As a key partner we work with the Government of Honduras through the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Employer Sector.
