Youth Ready: Employability and Entrepreneurship Projects

We are focused on strengthening the competencies of young people to successfully achieve their life projects, through the formation of values, principles and life skills using the Youth Ready methodology.

Employability and Entrepreneurship Projects, with the objective of increasing the economic empowerment of 17,000 young Hondurans, to increase their educational, entrepreneurial and employment opportunities. We dedicate special attention to the most vulnerable communities that are affected by climate change, violence and high unemployment rates, obstacles that hinder their access to education and perpetuate extreme poverty, this project is implemented in San Pedro Sula thanks to the support of the Barrett Foundation.

We work with key partners such as WV Canada, churches, private companies, government and municipalities, Ciudad Mujer, INFOP, Centro de Desarrollo Empresarial, Secretary of Education.

Project Rise: Aims to prepare young people in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador for meaningful economic opportunities. Through this project, 250,000 adolescents and youth ages 12 to 29 will be reached directly and indirectly, developing life skills, positive identity, sense of purpose, curiosity, teamwork, communication, agency and hope as they continue their education, participate in and create economic opportunities, contribute to the common good and care for others as well as support them to realize their entrepreneurial ideas or return to school.

To achieve these results, we work with churches, private companies, government, community leaders and we have the financial support of our private donors and World Vision USA. In Honduras, the project is implemented in municipalities in the departments of Atlántida, Choluteca, Comayagua, El Paraíso, Francisco Morazán, Valle and Yoro.
