Our Cause

As of 2023 the THRIVE project has supported 17,020 Hondurans living in rural areas of the country and our goal for 2030 is to reach 500,000 people through the Agricultural Businesses, agricultural technology, natural resource management, access to financial services and markets; this project targets farmers from vulnerable households who are generally below the poverty line ($1.25/per person per day).

We promote resilience at the level of production systems and value chains and we address the obstacles of increased productivity and access to agricultural markets, change in the and vision of the environment, contributing to child welfare, diversification of livelihoods, improvement in household dietary diversity, improvement in food safety, and improved food security. Food from households located in the municipalities of the departments of El Paraíso, Cortés, Intibucá, La Paz, Yoro, Copán, Lempira and Ocotepeque.

Among our strategic partners are VisionFund, the Honduran Coffee Institute (IHCAFEI), Water Administration Boards, agricultural trading houses (COHOSIL, DISAGRO, ITAGRI), Forest Conservation Institute (ICF), Foundation for Rural Business Development (FUNDER), Walmart, Empresa Industrial y Comercial Del Estado (ADELI) and (CDE MIPYME);
